Plungers
About Plungers
Plungers are machine elements for positioning and fixing workpieces.
A spring is built into the main body so that the ball (pin) at the tip sinks into the body when a load is applied, and is returned to its former position by spring force when the load is removed.
Ball plungers with moving tip balls and pin plungers with moving tip pins are available.
They are used in applications such as positioning and indexing of sliding mechanisms and workpiece extrusion.
The spring-loaded reciprocating mechanism of the ball (pin) can be incorporated easily in devices and equipment.
